Siege of Acre

After the Ottoman Empire declared war on Napoleon, he attacked the Ottomans in Palestine capturing Jaffe. He then went on to begin a siege of Acre on March 18, 1799. In April a plague broke out among Napoleon's men and he was forced to break the siege and return to Egypt.
